Did the Russian hockey team sell out to bookies and the mafia in its loss to Canada?

It makes no sense for such a talented Russian team to lose by so much to a bloated and dismotivated group of players such as Canada. Ovechkin's dialled-in performance is telling me something is very fishy. Is there any buzz out there on this?
