Does it ever strike you as funny when atheists use all the same cliche terms?
As an atheist I agree some of these terms are overused but I think you have to keep in mind the stereotypical atheist mentality. Atheists pride themselves on being intellectual, and whether that's the case or not some of these words are simply the best words to use in certain instances, especially if you aren't someone who has an excessively large vocabulary. After all, it doesn't take an impressive vocabulary or complex mind to make a profound or thought provoking statement, just an intriguing or creative idea. On top of that, some of these words are simply best for common situations. For example, if I was telling you that it was my opinion that Christians didn't know the Bible or that their understanding was lacking, it wouldn't be right to say "they are stupid." Ignorant would be a much better term as they simply haven't read or yet comprehended the verse we're speaking about. Fallacy is the same sort of word, ambiguity or falsehood doesn't really sound as good or make as much sense.
