Do female NCO's wear swords with dress uniforms?

None other the Marines routinely wear swords. I was a cavalry officer and on occaision wore my sabre, stetson and spurs, but only when specialy designated to do so. Special ceremonies may require the wearing of a sword. I even saw an Air Force sword once which I found humorous. What are they going to do with it, stick it out of the pit and stab someone.

What does Memorial Day mean to Americans?

While watching TV I have seen ads for "Memorial Day Sales" what on earth is this about. In Canada November 11 is Remembrance Day we observe it as a solemn and heartfelt day to remember our war vets. The US has been involved im many wars and lost many good young people and I just don't understand the lack of reverence that a "Memorial Day Sale" implies.

Why have there been so many natural disasters in 2010?

I have noticed that there has been lots of natural disasters in just the beginning of 2010. There has been over 3 earthquakes around the world in a period of 3 months, there has been a oil spill, hot weather where it is usually cold and hotter weathers where it is hot, aand some volcano too. Is this the beginning of the end? I am quite frankly starting to grow afraid. I would like to know what you think. Could it be a trend or what. I am starting to freak out man wtf is going on. 2012 I hpe im wrong because i do not believe in that. If anyone wants to talk any further about it please email me.
