I need to have carple tunnel syrugrey. I need advices?

How long does it take and what do they do. First time having sydrgey and kind of scared. Will it hurt do I fill anything and what do they do? Also I was told once I have it (the carpel tunnel) can come back so any suggestions for me like any computer products like a gel pad or something? I am warring a braces. Really dont want to have it but I had CP for over a year and I think it is time to move on.
