Is Tamiflu yet another Labour con?

It's reliably reported Tamiflu does not cure swine flu it just relieves the symptoms for 24 hours. The resources used for the supply & distribution of this medication would have been better directed at identifying and locating any probable source or existence of a meaningful vaccine. Seems to me yet another example of the Brown government exploiting the availability of Tamiflu as an example of their efficiency at dealing with a crisis when, in reality, the whole thing is a half-baked and practically useless facade. In other words a smoke screen to cover their ineptitude.
