Finger Prints and photo for form 1485 and 1765?

I recently went to immigration office to get my finger prints and photo taken on the 7th of january. I just got a letter from USCIS saying that i need to go back and get my finger prints again since they didnt get a good print. I am going back on the 27th of january.My question is i am unemployed right now and anxiosly waiting for my EAD card so I can work. Will this delay my process to get my EAD or it wouldnt effect it? The letter to redo my finger print only refers to form 485-change of status. do they need my finger print for the EAD card or just photo?
