Since Michele Bachmann has been given a seat on the House Intelligence Committee?

She's on the committee, but she's not the chairwoman. I doubt anyone in the GOP leadership will actually take her seriously. I mean, come on. She's a nut. And she has those same "crazy eyes" that a lot of serial killers have.
